Le Spiagge di Agrigento

Beach of San Leone, Agrigento: beach of soft golden sand characterized by a beautiful blue and clear sea and by the presence of rocky outcrops. Partly free and partly equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, the beach of San Leone is the center of Agrigento’s nightlife thanks to the presence of numerous bars, night clubs and restaurants along the coast. The area is often windy and for this reason it is very popular and also frequented by surfers. The beach of Bovo Marina and Punta Bianca, a beautiful and wild rocky spur that stretches out to sea surrounded by small coves with golden sandy beaches separated from each other by small headlands and overlooking a beautiful sea, is still worth mentioning in Agrigento. crystal clear.

Spiaggia dei Conigli, Lampedusa: is one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of the entire Mediterranean Sea and beyond. Characterized by very fine white sand and by the clear and clean sea that thanks to the very low depths it assumes throughout the day all the shades of turquoise. The beach, which is part of the Lampedusa Island’s nature reserve and is managed by Legambiente Sicilia, was established to protect the delicate ecosystem that was created here. We recall that the beach is chosen by the Caretta caretta sea turtles for spawning and for this reason the site is closed at night and constantly monitored by the entity that manages the Reserve. To make the landscape even more suggestive, in front of the beach is the Isola dei Conigli, which owes its name to the massive presence of these rodents in the past and is inaccessible to man. Among the other wonderful places of Lampedusa where plunging in crystal clear and blue waters we remember: Cala Pulcino, Cala Croce, Cala Madonna, Cala Greca, Cala Maluk, Cala Francese, Guitgia Beach, Grottacce, Cala Uccello, Dead Sea, Cala Galera and Cala Pisana . Finally, we report to the nearby island of Linosa Cala Pozzolana di Ponente with the black beach where the sea turtles and the Faraglioni lay their eggs.

Rock of San Nicola Beach, Licata: about 2 km long, the beach is located west of the town of Licata in the Pisciotto district. It is a beautiful beach of fine sand, bordered by picturesque dunes and well equipped for the many visitors who choose it each year. The sea, clean and transparent, has depths that gently slope to the sea. Other beautiful beaches to visit in the town of Licata are: Canticaglione, Poggio di Guardia, Montegrande, Playa, Marianello, Trippodi, Lavanghe Monserrato, Cavalluccio, Balatazze, Colonne, Nicolizia, Cadutella, Caduta, Mollarella, Poliscia, San Nicola, Cala Mollaka or Cala Paradiso, La Rocca, Pisciotto, Foce della Gallina, Torre di Gaffe.

Porto Palo Beach, Menfi: wonderful white sand beach repeatedly awarded with the Blue Flag for the purity of the waters that bathe it. The large beach is also characterized by the nearby presence of the marina and the perched village that offer interesting views to photograph. Still to be reported to the west of Porto Palo are the Spiagge delle Solette that stretch up to the mouth of the river Belice and where naturism is practiced.

Cala Vicentina, Palma di Montechiaro: beautiful sandy cove set under the cliff. Uncontaminated and completely free, the beach is bathed by a beautiful blue and transparent sea. Cala Vicentina, however, is only one of the beautiful beaches of Palma di Montechiaro, among others we mention Malerba Beach, Ciotta Beach and Castellazzo Beach also known as Baia delle Sirene and composed of a series of small coves with pebbly coast of incredible beauty, immersed in an area particularly wild and with an extraordinarily transparent sea thanks to its pebbly backdrop.

Marinella Beach, Porto Empedocle: located a few kilometers from the famous Scala dei Turchi, together with the Lido Azzurro Beach, one of the most beautiful and popular beaches in the municipality. Well-equipped for tourists, Marinella Beach is characterized by golden sand and clear blue sea.

Scala dei Turchi, Realmonte: a true jewel of the Agrigento coast, is a geological formation of white calcareous rock that protrudes over the sea and to which, over the millennia, the action of atmospheric agents has given the shape of a natural staircase with wide steps , furrows and terraces that slope towards the sea below. The beach of fine golden sand is bathed by a beautiful turquoise and clear sea and attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world every year. Noteworthy in the municipality of Realmonte and on the border with that of Siculiana Marina the Beaches of Pergolas and the Gelonardo Beach.

Piana Grande Beach, Ribera: large pebble and pebble beach that extends northwards to the mouth of the river Verdura, surrounded by a rather wild hinterland and bathed by a particularly crystalline and transparent sea. Piana Grande is easily reached by car. At about 7 km from Ribera, we recommend the Secca Grande Beach, a pebble beach mixed with white pebbles bathed by a particularly limpid and transparent sea thanks to the stony seabeds.

Torre del Barone Beach, Sciacca: long gravel beach that stretches at the foot of a white cliff above which there is also a modern resort with English lawns. Still to be reported about 7 km from the town of Sciacca the beach of Capo San Marco dominated by the yellow color due to the particular shade of the mountains that protect the entire bay. The coast is sandy and bathed by a transparent, crystalline sea and the seabed immediately deep, true paradise for divers for the cliffs rich in flora and fauna.
